Hillary has been a tour director for over twenty years for student, international, incentive and senior groups.
She holds guide licenses for both New York City and Washington, DC and conducts tours of the US, Canada and Europe.
A history buff, she is continually searching for ways to bring history to life for her groups.
She has a Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages from Boston University and several certifications in French, including the Diplôme Supérieur d'Études Françaises Modernes (DS), Diplôme de Langue (DL) and the Certificat d'Études de Français Pratique1 (CEFP1).
Hillary is a Certified International Tour Manager (CITM) and began her career by leading two-week tours of Europe for Page & Moy Holidays and Concert Tours for Performing Arts Abroad.
After several years of European touring she came back to the US and began leading tours of the USA and Canada for Tauck Tours, Saga and Globus & Cosmos.
In addition to French, she has studied Spanish, Italian, German and even Catalan! She lived in France for four years, spent summers in Spain, and was based in Great Britain for two years while leading tours of Europe. She then studied German in Berlin while leading groups through Germany, Switzerland, Austria and eastern Europe. She spent two seasons escorting tours through Italy.
Returning to the USA, Hillary continued conducting tours of the USA and Canada and learned French Canadian Quebecois.
At the end of one tour season, she was asked to staff an international help desk at a the American College of Cardiology Orlando Convention. She enjoyed the experience so much that she decided to learn more about the convention business.
For the last fifteen years she has combined tour directing with convention and trade show work. She works regularly with Globus and Cosmos, Go West Tours, Academic Travel and EF Tours.
When not on the road with a tour group or involved with a trade show, she studies voice, volunteers at a local school and performs with a local Orlando Broadway Group.
She divides her time between Orlando, FL and Ridgefield, CT and lives with her husband, daughter and two very spoiled golden retrievers.
